Ramesh Neelmegh Dvaitam: There are infinite number of atomic, eternally existing Jivas who retain their identity even after liberation. Universal salvation is not guaranteed and certain Jivas can be condemned to eternal damnation akin to Christian Hell. This is in sharp contrast to all other Hindus Darshanas. Madhva conceives the universe to be governed by five fundamental types difference, or pancabheda: 1) matter and another, 2) matter and Brahman, 3) matter and Atman, 4) individual Self and other Selves, and 5) Selves from Brahman. Contrary to Madhyamika Buddhism or Advaita, Dvaita maintains that difference, rather than sameness, is in the very nature of the Universe.
D.l. Sivakumar Ramesh Neelmegh ji, Except for "certain Jivas can be condemned to eternal damnation akin to Christian Hell," what you stated about Dvaitam I have heard them as well. These pancha-bhedhas are not trivial or obvious differences that can be easily proven one way or another. Each Darshana explains in its own characteristic manner (which is the beauty of Hinduism "framework" religion) and there is no one answer to it as Veda itself puts it "ekam satyam vipraah bahudaa vadanti"! Each path may have different applications to different constituents. Even if you consider, for argument sake, Advaitam is better than Dvaitam, you still cannot negate the fact that the use of Dvaitin philosophy in its application for majority of the people who require to develop their faith! To draw parallel in science, Newtonian science is still prevalent in most applications, even though in special cases, e.g., in sub-atomic or cosmic aspects, it fails to explain the phenomenon where Einsteinian principles are applied. The two main points:1) there is no objective way to ascertain one Darshana over other and 2) Each Darshana has its merits in its application andd constituents!
Ramesh Neelmegh I agree with you that each darshana has its merits and suited for people with different backgrounds and spiritual evolution.

When certain ideas conflict with empirical truth and Science, they have to be discarded. To know apara vidya (study of the no
n-self), the phenomenal Universe, Science and Math are the best modalities available to us today. The Vatican church doctrine held the view that the Earth was stationary and all heavenly bodies moved around it, the earth is 5000 years old and there is no evolution. Hell a place of eternal damnation is another such outdated belief.
